sorry to interrupt the tales of jabar, but this was too good to wait...
some friends and i went out to eat tonight, and i was really hoping for some tempe. my body was craving protein. i haven't had any meat since lunch yesterday. anyways, the place we ended up at only had noodles and rice. so i walked to a couple other holes in the wall nearby, but everyplace was out. i had some luck at the 4th place. they had 4 pieces left. the lady running the place was super nice and gave me a chair to sit on and chatted with me while a girl wrapped up my tempe for me to take it back to the other place to eat with rice. she said that next time, all my friends and i should eat there. so i asked to see the menu... and i totally found what we should all go out for after fellowship next week.

it's awkward to snort-laugh uncontrollably. it's even more awkward when you're one of only two strangers in a room.
