rough day

i just got told by a student that i'm too immature.
ouch.

i did have him clarify that what he actually meant was that i'm too young to be a teacher - too close in age to my students. not that i, personally, am maturationally impaired.

but still...

i feel like i get that crap from other teachers (though not in so many words)...
and now students?

this one's gonna stick with me.
