1. gong xi fa cai! and happy chinese new year!
2. last week, i found a bunch of stickers i got when i was in korea. so i brought them to school with every intention of using them. and now i am! and conveniently, the top 3 scorers on today’s precal test were all korean! so they’ll actually be able to read the “you rock!” message on their sticker intended for little kids. this is making me happy today.
aren’t they so cute?!?
3. here’s a series of shots i took in class yesterday when one of the korean boys found an article of clothing (a vest, unbeknownst to him) laying on the floor under his desk and he decided to try and figure out what it is and how to wear it. the first picture starts after about 4 minutes of him trying to figure out which way it goes.
yes, it did finally take a girl to help him get it on. and yes, the whole class did clap for him because it took him at least 5 minutes to get the thing figured out. and yes, he did proceed to wear it for the rest of the day.
4. while i was getting the above pictures off my camera, i found the following. it’s a moth i found on the wall outside one of our classrooms about a month ago! i had forgotten about these!
5. the weather has been VERY cloudy, cold and rainy the last few days. we haven’t had any sun for awhile, which is really unusual. and the constant drizzly-ness is getting to my mood and my attitude, though i’m trying hard not to let it. so the above highlights of my day/week have been extra special to me!
