The first of many Christmas parties to come is tonight. It's been raining and thundering all day long and out any window I look, I can see at least one coconut tree. It doesn't feel at all like Christmas. Tropical storms killing people doesn't really put me in the Christmas mood either, naturally. But after reading that, I do feel blessed to be safe and healthy this time of year, and I'm thankful that my family can say the same.
