In approximately 21 minutes, fasting month will be OVER and the festivities will begin! The men in my kampung (neighborhood) spent today making a miniature kaaba on wheels out of cardboard for the parade tonight, and the kids have been practicing their drums since 2 AM. Yes, I do mean AM and not PM.
Tonight, I'll go to the parade at Pancasila, the town center. Tomorrow, I have church in the morning (NOT skipping that for Idul Fitri prayers), then THREE meals at the homes of three different Muslim families I am close to. I hope I don't explode...
