human of the year

lunch time was very, very strange today.
i always eat with the students.
because i guard the girl's dorm food from theft by non-dorm kids.
and i get a free lunch in exchange. :)

i was assembling me a chicken sandwich when glory plopped down next to me.
then he leaned over and dumped a spoonful each of kimchi (korean fermented spiced cabbage), tuna, and fruit salad in mayonnaise on my half-made sandwich!
then he swiped my juicebox and passed it off to another kid who drank the whole thing.
then mr jameson (who guards the boy's dorm food) took pity on me and told me to come drink some of their beverage.
but i think their pembantus put tea leaves in the cold orange juice mix drink.
it made me gag. and mr jameson laughed.
then a little while later, mr jameson invited me to try a cookie he had.
it was a snicker doodle. and it tasted EXACTLY like moth balls.
truly a baked marvel.
i took a bite, threw the cookie back in the bag, then spit my bite back in the bag too.
i exclaimed loudly enough over this cookie that students HAD to try it too.
so mr jameson began breaking them off pieces.
and then, not knowing that it had been in my mouth, he fed the last damp piece to poor unsuspecting won.
i told jameson what he'd done, and we had a good laugh over it. and after she swallowed and asked why it tasted so bad, jameson told her it was because i had already chewed it.

so there we were, all huddled around the boys dorm food screaming and gagging and spraying juice and bites of cookie everywhere. and ye jun actually threw up a little in the grass.

then glory came over and gave me a brand new juice box.
i think he went and bought it from the school snack shop.
my goodness - the boy has a conscience!

lunch today was truly a culinary adventure.
