so there was this guy who loved this girl. he was totally crazy about her. she was the most beautiful woman in the land. and he tried and tried and tried to win her heart, but she wasn't really in to him. so finally, as a means of getting rid of him, she told him that she would marry him ONLY if he could build a thousand temples for her in one night only. so he set about his job. he worked furioiusly all night long, constructing different buildings and prayer rooms and pagodas, laying every stone carefully into place. he wanted to succeed so badly that he got spirits from the underworld to come help him. near morning, the beautiful woman woke up and realized that he was almost finished. she got scared. she never expected him to actually finish the temple! so as he was finishing the 999th temple, the lady started to run around town, waking people up, and telling them to pretend that it was morning. and because she was so beautiful, they did what she said. they even lit a huge fire near town so that the roosters would see the light and start crowing. so right before he laid the last stones of the 1000th temple, the spirits abandoned him - they heard the roosters crowing, and they can't be out in daylight, so they had to go. and he lost. prambanan temple still stands as a memorial to his efforts and as a place sacred to hinduism. it has stood since 900 AD. and yesterday, i went to see it. : )

Umm.. I didn't suspect that we both went to same Hinduism temples on the same day, yet differ temple differ city.
