so i can't believe i haven't actually posted this yet
- i have a kidney infection! or so it seems...
my blood test came back with EVERYTHING normal, much to my surprise. i was typically just slightly anemic in america, but here... in the land of chicken and rice ...my iron levels were in the upper half of the normal range!
but my urine test showed levels of bacteria in my pee. so it's most likely either a urinary tract infection or a kidney infection. i vote for kidneys, partly because i don't know how to say "urinary tract" in indonesian, partly because i don't have any of the "normal" symptoms of a uti (not that they're always "normal"), and partly because i feel like my kidneys got pumped full of bird shot then run over by a dump truck.
so i'm taking some home remedy stuff that makes me pee a lot. i figured it can't hurt. and i'm also on some strong antibiotics.
