cheapercheaper

last night i went to a nice-ish sit down restaurant, funfun, with some friends.
i ordered the teriyaki chicken plate with rice. (because no meal is complete without rice!)
to drink, i had my favorite, an ice cold glass of es jeruk. (it's like thick orange juice mixed with water, sugar, and ice cubes. it's citrusy and sweet and icey all at once! yum!)
when i went to pay my bill, i was like "man... rp 10,000? down the drain." (btw, i really hate spending money.)
and then i stopped and thought. at the current exchange rate, i just ate a whole dinner for 86.06 cents.
but still. that's like twice what i normally pay when i just go to a street vendor and buy a ton of nasi goreng (fried rice) wrapped up in brown paper.

what a great country.
