you know what they say....

so i've been having this weird.... condition, i guess you could call it.
on my legs below my knees. unfortunate.
it happened once before, but yohanes suggested some good antiseptic, which i used, and it cleared right up.
then it happened again.

it starts out as a bite of some kind.
it's about the size of a quarter, and it swells up and feels tender for a few days.
then the swelling goes down some and it just itches like the blazes.
then it reaches my favorite stage in which it starts pusing.
the pus is accompanied by a bruising of the area around the bite mark.
then it starts to dry up and scab over.
the whole process takes about 2 weeks, more for the scabs to heal completely.
the bites have been occuring in groups of 4 - 6.

i had my friend, mbak pita, take a look at it to see what she thought.
she said that it looks like bedbugs.
then she started to laugh and told me that only the really village (country) girls get bedbugs.

it brought to mind an old saying. in more ways than one.
"you can take a girl out of the country......"
