Yesterday the 9th graders asked me how much longer I would be teaching here. I told them honestly that I don't know. I've already agreed to be here one more year, but we'll see after that.
They asked me to stay 3 more years so I can teach them until they graduate then speak at their graduation ceremony.
I looked at them skeptically and said, "Are you SURE you want ME to speak at your graduation?"
They all said yes. Haha...
So in spite of what a bloody battlefield I feel like 9th grade has been this year, I have hope that they don't feel quite the same way.
